Localex is a language-services company operating in Turkey and the United Kingdom. Our linguistic team works in market in Turkey, while LocalexUK Ltd is the UK-registered entity serving clients in the UK and internationally.
Most of our work is business-to-business. We support language-service providers, technology companies and other organisations managing repeat or large-scale multilingual content through defined terminology, review, query and delivery workflows.

Pair depth, regional care
English ↔ Turkish and German ↔ Turkish lead our public coverage. Arabic, Kurmanji, Sorani and Persian (Farsi) work is scoped separately by direction, market and service.

Dr Gökhan Fırat
Director & Translation Researcher
Gökhan is a Director of LocalexUK Ltd and researches the working conditions of translation workers. He completed his PhD at the University of Surrey’s Centre for Translation Studies after more than ten years in publishing and translation.

Lead Linguist & Project Manager
Tuğba holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Translation and Interpreting from Hacettepe University. With experience across legal, marketing, IT and tourism content, she keeps projects running smoothly and delivers work that is both linguistically precise and culturally accurate.
Hakan Meral
Lead Linguist & Quality Manager
Hakan studied Translation Studies at Trakya University and brings expertise in IT, software, marketing and engineering content. He owns quality through style guides, review processes and linguist training, keeping every project sharp, consistent and aligned with what the client actually asked for.
İlknur Kesim
Lead Linguist
İlknur specialises in software and product localisation. A Translation Studies graduate of Boğaziçi University, she has worked in-house on product localisation as well as in project management and revision.
Alihan Erdoğan
Lead Linguist & Project Manager
Alihan studied Turkish Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University and specialises in academic, legal and travel content. His background as a musician also supports the voice-over and audiovisual side of our work, combining linguistic precision with a creative ear.
